Damietta Container Handling: A New Destination for Electric Vehicle Imports Receiving 51 Electric Vehicles at Damietta Container Terminal – A New Step Towards Positioning Egypt as a Regional Hub for the Automotive Trade
In a new milestone for DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.) and as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the development of Egyptian ports and container terminals, the company has successfully implemented directives from His Excellency Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport. These efforts aim to intensify marketing strategies to attract new clients and increase the market share of the container terminal.
On Tuesday, November 14, 2024, the shared container warehouse (L.C.L) dedicated to handling and storing vehicles at Damietta Container Terminal received a shipment for Raya Automotive Import Company. This shipment included 26 containers for Yang Ming shipping line carrying 51 imported electric vehicles. The shipment arrived aboard the vessel ONE MUNCHEN . The containers were handled and unloaded with exceptional professionalism using the company’s advanced equipment and securely stored in the dedicated vehicle warehouse.
The electric vehicles departed Damietta Container Terminal on Thursday, November 21, 2024, aboard specialized car transport trucks after completing customs clearance procedures.
