Success of Damietta Container Terminal in Handling a Massive 68-Ton OOG Shipment With professionalism and precision in executing out-of-gauge container operations

In yet another achievement for DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.), the operations team at the terminal successfully handled a massive (OOG) out-of-gauge shipment a hydraulic transformer with exceptional professionalism. The shipment was loaded aboard the (MSC Fiametta) operated by the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), in record time and with remarkable precision and expertise. The transformer weighs 68 tons and measures 7.32 meters in length, 2.85 meters in width, and 3.95 meters in height, showcasing the terminal's capabilities and the proficiency of its workforce. Admiral Dr. Rafik Galal - Executive Managing Director of DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.), stated that Damietta Container Terminal possesses the equipment and expertise to handle all types of containers, including out-of-gauge shipments. The terminal is equipped with state-of-the-art quay cranes and is supported by a highly skilled workforce with over 25 years of accumulated technical experience. This enables the terminal to ensure swift and efficient loading and unloading operations, further enhancing the confidence of global shipping lines in Damietta Container Terminal. This achievement aligns with the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir - Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport.
